Aves de Panamá grew from a trip that completely changed the way I experienced birds. Surrounded by a level of biodiversity unlike anything I'd encountered before, I found myself constantly asking, What is that? Every trail seemed to reveal another species I'd never seen, and by the end of the trip I'd added more than 70 new birds to my life list.

Inspired by birding along Pipeline Road, exploring Gatun Lake, and countless moments of unexpected discovery, this collection celebrates the richness of Panama's birdlife. Each painting is a reminder of the excitement of seeing something new for the first time—and of the endless variety and beauty that exists when we take the time to look.
